My client, a global FMCG company based in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs, is currently looking for an FP&A analyst for an initial 6-month contract, starting ASAP.

With sales over $400 million this recognisable FMCG business is going from strength to strength. Sharp and Carter have partnered with this business to help grow their finance function. 

Key Accountabilities

  
Monthly reporting:
  • Daily Sales reporting – rotational shared amongst Finance Analyst
  • Ownership of the Cost Allocation model
  • Prepare journals to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Review and streamline processes and practices to drive efficiency and integrity
  • SG&A reporting and analysis
  • A&P reporting and working with the Finance Managers and Marketing team
  • Group Reporting and analysis, including KPI Reporting
  • Support year-end reporting and audit process  
Executive S&OP:
  • Work with each of the Business Unit Finance Managers on the P&L and collate risk & opportunities for the reporting pack to Executive S&OP
  • Develop and maintain the monthly P&L templates for consolidated results                                                                                     
Forecasting and Budgeting:
  • Assist with preparation of monthly forecasts
  • Support the Annual Budget process
  • Financial modelling for the Group’s budget and consolidation
Other ad hoc duties as required by the Group Planning & Reporting Manager and/or CFO
  
Competencies
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office in particular, Excel
  • Intermediate modelling skills
  • Experience in providing financial analysis to support business decision making
  • Detail-oriented work habits, strong time management skills and deadline focused
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment, strong communication skills and ability to work with different personalities across the organisation
  • Proven ability to work effectively with teams and senior managers, including ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and advisors whilst promoting and supporting change
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting, Administration or similar) required (must be recognised in Australia)
  • CA, CPA or equivalent qualification or working towards
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within FMCG or similar industry
