Sharp and Carter Brisbane are working on behalf of a leading maritime digital solution service that are looking to add to their team of developers
The role is based in their Gold Coast office however, working from and hybrid working methods are available.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that lead the implementation of new features to their signature customer sold system. The candidate will be responsible for helping to develop the intuitive interface between users and engines, machine algorithms and visual platforms.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development
- A solid understanding of React, Typescript
- Experience working with Material-UI, Styled components
- Practical knowledge of REST endpoints and APIs
- A solid understanding of Functional Programming, OOP principles and design patterns
- Understanding of how to build performant, decoupled, testable and maintainable React code
- Ability to work and collaborate with others in an agile team environment
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Understanding of front-end React libraries: MobX, Apollo, MapBox, DeckGL
- Practical knowledge of GraphQL
- Experience with Node, Azure and CI/CD
- Interested in understanding and working with maritime operational forecast systems considered advantageous
