Responsibilities
Reporting into the Group Payroll Manager - ANZ, the role will involve taking ownership of the following key tasks:
- Manage and Lead payroll projects especially with the key focus being on NZ payroll projects from a payroll perspective and providing regular updates / summary to Group Payroll Manager
- Working with the Group Payroll Manager ANZ to diagnose, build and implement a sustainable Payroll model that seeks to maximise the user experience and utilise existing and emerging technologies to drive service and resource efficiency
- The Head of Payroll Projects will oversee the management of all change, communications, deliverables from planning through to execution for the projects in ANZ
- Collaborate with a diverse range of key stakeholders on payroll compliance matters and ensure questions and issues regarding interpretation and practicality are raised
- This role will also be responsible for providing sound and practical advice on payroll practices, system limitations and ongoing documentation of processes.
- Lead the projects, ensuring that risks are effectively managed
- Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies where relevant
- Ensure accurate and timely process of payroll administration including compliance with statutory requirements
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll project role or management role along with the following skills and attributes:
- Strong understanding of Legislation, industrial award / enterprise agreement across Australia & New Zealand (in particular New Zealand)
- Comprehensive experience and understanding of shared service payroll teams, process improvement, issue resolution, payroll compliance, software development and management across AU & NZ
- Experience in Payroll project management
- Extensive Payroll Management or experience with payroll services advisory and consulting abilities
- Chris 21 experience would be highly advantageous
