The Role
As the Head of Tax, you will be the central figure in overseeing all tax-related activities across multiple international jurisdictions. This role combines strategic insight with operational oversight, ensuring robust governance, risk mitigation, and tax efficiency across the enterprise. You’ll partner with executive finance leadership to develop and implement group-wide tax strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global tax governance and compliance frameworks
- Manage tax risk and liaise with auditors and tax authorities
- Provide advisory support on international business transactions, including M&A
- Monitor international tax developments, ensuring compliance and optimisation
- Oversee the preparation of all tax filings across multiple jurisdictions (corporate tax, VAT/GST, FBT, transfer pricing, etc.)
- Guide transfer pricing strategy, intercompany transactions, and BEPS compliance
- Deliver tax forecasting and planning, including thin capitalisation and tax effect accounting
- Proven experience in corporate tax within a global business or professional services firm
- Deep understanding of international tax legislation and cross-border tax strategy
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative approach
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or related discipline
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accreditation
