Join a listed Australian healthcare company! This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business who support the healthcare services within Australia. They have a large Finance team and this role will allow you to partner across different Group tax strategies.
The role
As an Income Tax Specialist you will report directly into one of the Tax Managers within this large Finance team. This role will allow you to develop your expertise in Income Tax within a large commercial company, you will work across the Tax strategies, projects and improvements.
Your role will also include but not be limited to the following duties.
- Offer taxation compliance services and analysis, encompassing the preparation of GST/VAT and income tax filings.
- Offer tax guidance that reflects a grasp of the business's commercial strategic goals.
- Maintain high standards in tax compliance, reporting (actuals and budget/forecast), and tax-effect accounting obligations.
- Recognize and aid in implementing improvements to taxation processes and systems.
- Uphold strong tax governance processes and controls.
- Contribute to the preparation and revision of transfer pricing documentation for the group.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years working in Big4 / Mid-tier Tax firm or a similar commercial role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian income taxation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ideally, experience with NetSuite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
