About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and enthusiastic Junior/Intermediate Bookkeeper to join a dynamic and collaborative team. Supporting a diverse portfolio of over 30 clients across various industries, this role offers exposure to a wide range of bookkeeping and advisory functions in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
You’ll be responsible for reviewing the work of an offshore team, managing workflow, and delivering outstanding client service while also completing higher-level bookkeeping tasks directly.


About the Role

Working closely with the Bookkeeping Manager and a small onshore team, your responsibilities will include:

Bookkeeping Services
  • Bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • End-to-end payroll processing including payroll tax and award interpretation
  • BAS preparation and lodgement (monthly and quarterly)
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Monthly financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Maintaining fixed asset registers
Advisory & Workflow
  • Xero conversions and new file set-ups
  • Payroll audits and compliance support
  • Reviewing and overseeing offshore team deliverables
  • Managing client workflow and meeting monthly targets

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Relevant bookkeeping qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and MYOB
  • Experience interpreting Payroll Awards and preparing BAS, financial reports, and payroll
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Experience with software like Asana, Deputy, or Hubdoc (highly regarded)
