About the role 
An exciting role with a globally recognised employer of choice currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Lead Tax Analyst's position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. 

The responsibilities
Reporting into the Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
  • Deep understanding of tax principles and regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Management of the tax filing calendar independently and influences where possible.
  • Conveys critical impacts to leadership and departments outside of finance.
  • Ability to provide tax advice or review third party tax advice and provide thoughtful input.      
  • Provides thought leadership by staying abreast of regulatory changes, and ensuring adherence to evolving regulations.
  • Preparation of FBT, GST/BAS returns for the ANZ entities
  • Assist with Payroll tax as required, including review of various Annual Payroll Tax reconciliations and SG obligation.
  • Assist the Tax Manager with a review of Superannuation guarantee as required.
  • Analyse and advise on GST treatment for products
  • Assist the tax manager with indirect taxes advice relating to acquisitions & divestment
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for process improvement
  • Lead or support projects identified as supporting strategic objectives for the finance team or broader business.
  • Build and maintains a relationship with key stakeholders - understands their needs and expectations and also how and when to best engage with them.
The successful applicant will have 

The successful candidate will have the following criteria:
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Strong commercial tax background or Big4 trained
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Experience with both direct & indirect tax.
