About the role
Reporting through to the General Counsel you will be involved in:
- Drafting/negotiating BAU contracts such NDAs, licence agreements, supplier agreements.
- Assisting with company compliance matters including privacy, modern slavery, etc.
- Assisting with and/or managing the review, drafting, and negotiating of a range of general commercial agreements including lease renewals.
- Acquisition assistance such as due diligence support.
- Assist with the development of internal training on legal matters such as privacy, modern slavery, environmental laws.
- Establishment and management of contract database.
- Assistance in undertaking privacy compliance reviews
- Provide advice on compliance with the organisation's legislative obligations in respect of OHS and environment issues.
- Demonstrate work health and safety due diligence and leadership through understanding the nature of the company’s operations and generally of the hazards and risks associated with those operations
- Support compliance with the organisation's OHS Policy and the Work Health and Safety management system through adhering to and supporting the relevant legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrate leadership which encourage behaviours that promote OHS responsibility, consultation, accountability, and awareness.
You will be Australian qualified and have at least 3 years PQE. You will ideally come from a commercial background and have had some exposure to property or property with some exposure to commercial. You will also have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn and a can do attitude.
