About the Role
Based in Western Sydney, this is a critical leadership opportunity for a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee day-to-day site maintenance across a 24/6 manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager and leading a team of 10 trades across multiple shifts, you’ll take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance, driving reliability, safety and performance in a high-output environment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a team of mechanical and electrical trades across 3 shifts
- Oversee all maintenance activities, including planned works and urgent breakdowns
- Drive CMMS (MEX) usage and asset lifecycle planning for ageing and new equipment
- Champion team engagement, development, and retention through hands-on leadership
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and QA to support uptime and compliance
- Act as 2IC to the Engineering Manager and contribute to continuous site improvements
- Work one Saturday per month (with coverage shared across the wider engineering team)
Skills and Experience
We're seeking a driven and action-oriented maintenance leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll bring:
- Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical OR engineering degree OR equivalent relevant experience in a Maintenance Leadership role
- 5+ years’ experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing (FMCG/food preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills to build trust across operations and maintenance
- Solid understanding of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS
