About the role 
A fast paced and challenging Senior Management Accountant position sitting within a blue-chip business. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, from liaising with and advising various stakeholders to assisting in the preparation of key business reports and long term strategic planning as required.

The responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing key commentary and analysis, assisting with the preparation of monthly reports and identifying future growth strategies. Other duties include (but are not limited to): 

• Prepare and manage accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts for the organisation.
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive profitability.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and present management reports to stakeholders.
• Prepare settlement claims for re-imbursement of concessions and energy rebates.
• Financial analysis and reporting for specific partnerships, projects, and initiatives.
• Ensure financial compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
•  Support month-end and year-end close processes

The successful applicant will have
You will ideally be a CA/CPA, having experience in either an energy retailer or a telco retailer. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven track record influencing key stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills and SAP is advantageous. 6+ years of experience in management accounting and financial accounting
