About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is crucial to our New South Wales operation, offering excellent career development prospects for the right candidate. Based at our manufacturing and office facility, the successful candidate will be responsible for financial and project performance reporting, metrics, statutory compliance, and contributing to commercial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate job costing, scrutinize new job estimates, and spearhead overhead analysis.
- Uphold the integrity of the accounting system for seamless financial reporting.
- Navigate financial timetables and reporting deadlines with precision.
- Cultivate a robust client service culture, delivering high-quality services to both internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to pioneer business process improvements, enhancing efficiency and functionality.
- Craft monthly management reports, conducting thorough variance analysis
- Contribute significantly to the budgeting process, overseeing the import to the financial system.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise on-site accounting staff
- Manage capital reporting, ensuring accurate forecasting.
- Oversee GST reporting and handle the intricacies of FBT reporting, including salary packaging calculations.
- Offer vital assistance in bi-annual audit requirements.
- Generate insightful cash flow reports on a weekly/monthly basis.
The ideal candidate will be driven, demonstrate high initiative, and possess excellent communication skills. Attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to accuracy are paramount. While experience in construction or manufacturing is preferred, it's not essential.
Requirements:
- Tertiary level knowledge in Finance and/or Accounting.
- CA/CPA Qualification.
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Advanced ERP, Microsoft Office, Excel skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements.
- Exposure to contracting and job costing environments (desirable)
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
