Our client is an international services business within the resources sector. This unique 12 month Fixed-Term Contract for a Part-Time Senior Accountant, is an opportunity to join a well-established organisation, oversee an already high performing team and gain some excellent exposure across a stable industry. This position will be working for our client directly on a 12 Month Fixed-term contract, with a possible extension. This role will be required to commence Early February 2026.
The Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation of the consolidated financial position of the group, together with oversight of transactional requirements including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, weekly and monthly reporting and consolidation. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Business partner with a range of stakeholders, providing financial insights and commercial advice
- FBT Reconciliation
- Preparation of Month / Year End reporting.
- Responsible for preparation and reconciliation across the group
- Quarterly BAS submissions
- Review of month end balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Main point of contact for Audit.
- Assisting where required to complete financial audits, tax returns and any other audit in a timely manner
- CPA or CA qualified
- Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general commercial finance and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good leadership skills. This role will involve overseeing and mentoring a small team. Previous management experience is essential.
