Our client is a well-established and successful global company based in the CBD. They are seeking a passionate payroll officer to join the supportive and dynamic payroll team of 6. This role is well suited for a person who has a basic understanding of payroll, who has a can-do energetic attitude and is eager to join a well-known company in the real estate industry tailored for career development. The role will be an initial 6 month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide support to Payroll Manager in the full function of end-to-end payroll process.
- Work closely with the HR team to ensure all queries regarding employee payroll changes are resolved quickly.
- Review transactions in HRIS and complete transactions in Payroll system
- Prepare and/or review terminations and ad-hoc manual payments
- Provide timely, professional, and informative responses to all payroll related quires.
- Day to day operational payroll requirements are completed accurately and efficiently per Payroll Monthly Timetable
- Timely response to all queries with resolution satisfactory to all parties
- Check and enter monthly timesheets for employees in payroll system
- Review all manual data entry and verify interface data from Workday is accurately recorded in payroll vendors.
- Ability to come into the CBD Head Office 4 days per week.
- 2+ years of experience working in a large high-volume payroll function
- Experience using ADP/SAP is advantageous
- Tertiary qualified in finance/accounting ideal but not a must
- Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative
