Position Description

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policy and Procedures, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other relevant legislative requirements
  • Ensuring payments to staff are compliant, correct and timely
  • Educate the team on changes to legislation when required
  • Identify process improvement strategies with current systems and processes, particularly across governance framework
  • Conduct required audits and relevant reviews 
  • Respond to escalated payroll queries & resolve discrepancies in an efficient and timely manner
  • Prepare and review various payroll reports

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar senior Payroll position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Strong technical knowledge when dealing with payroll compliance and governance
  • Demonstrated capability to identify, implement and optimise payroll technologies
  • Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Experienced in reviewing/updating procedural documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
