Position Description
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policy and Procedures, FairWork, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other relevant legislative requirements
- Ensuring payments to staff are compliant, correct and timely
- Educate the team on changes to legislation when required
- Identify process improvement strategies with current systems and processes, particularly across governance framework
- Conduct required audits and relevant reviews
- Respond to escalated payroll queries & resolve discrepancies in an efficient and timely manner
- Prepare and review various payroll reports
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar senior Payroll position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Strong technical knowledge when dealing with payroll compliance and governance
- Demonstrated capability to identify, implement and optimise payroll technologies
- Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Experienced in reviewing/updating procedural documentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
