The Role:

Sharp and Carter is proud to be partnering with a reputable organisation. Due to continued business growth, this company is seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll Officer with large payroll systems experience to join their team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your role will include but not be limited to:
  • Collect and compile employee time and attendance data.
  • Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and other compensation accurately.
  • Input payroll data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll information to detect and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Stay informed about changes in payroll regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records for all employees.
  • Generate and distribute pay stubs, tax forms, and other payroll-related documents.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic payroll records.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Assist employees with understanding their pay, deductions, tax withholding, and other payroll-related concerns.
About You
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, employment tax laws, and statutory requirements.
  • Understanding of payroll systems and software,
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing and reviewing payroll data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders..
