About the role
An open opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Officer to join a fantastic client of ours. This is a highly reputable and growing national business. The successful candidate will be experienced with end-to-end Payroll & comfortable answering employee queries. You will work within a payroll team and have excellent support around you. Our client is also open to the role being a 4-day per week part-time role as well!

The Responsibilities
  • Process timesheets, including overtime for casuals etc
  • Process  staff movements including new starters, departures, and other movements
  • Process bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, and check to ensure payments have been made accurately
  • Approve all leave types (applying firm policies and processes)
  • Processing payments
  • Preparing manual payments when required
  • Respond to all customer queries (face-to-face, telephone, email)
  • Apply payroll knowledge, knowledge of company policies and procedures and problem-solving skills to provide a quality response
The successful candidate will have
  • Strong full-function payroll experience, a minimum of a year required. 
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
  • experience with small/medium payroll systems preferred
  • Experience with payroll systems and awards (the business uses Employment Hero and is open to training the candidate). 
  • Be tech savvy and able to work independently, from both offices and from home.
