In a vital role within the organisation, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll professional to autonomously take ownership of the payroll function. This role will be an exciting opportunity for those looking for their next challenge, on either a part-time or full-time basis.
The Responsibilities
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll Officer to join their close knit & supportive finance team (on either a full-time or part-time basis). Reporting directly into the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Processing the fortnightly payroll for 500 + employees
- Working & interpreting a number of EBA's and Award
- Preparation, reconciliation and payment of superannuation and payroll tax
- Calculating redundancies, terminations and long service leave entitlements
- Providing accurate information in response to employee queries
- Completing relevant reconciliation and reporting duties
- Reviewing and streamlining of existing processes
- Other ad hoc payroll related duties
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will posses the following attributes, however will not be limited to:
- Have proven experience within the payroll space within previous roles
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitudeStrong attention to detail and positive working approach
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Ability to confidently work both autonomously and collaboratively with others
- Motivated and can-do mindset
