In a vitally important role, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Systems Lead to manage all payroll related system improvements. Job Duties 

Reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Reporting to, and working in conjunction with Leadership and Management
  • Lead a team of payroll systems specialists alongside the Payroll Systems Manager, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Assist in coordinating BAU services and duties performed by the Payroll Systems Team
  • Monitor and evaluate improvements to systems and practices to improve client service delivery
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of payroll systems and provide customer service excellence
  • Manage systems maintenance by testing, documenting, and communicating all system changes
  • Check and confirm system configuration, reconcile year to date STP values with Finance
  • Maintain relationships with the Application Service Providers and ensure Service Level Agreement adherence
  • Assist with the overall system security and Users’ access
  • Work with external vendors, such as payroll service providers and software vendors, to ensure seamless integration and functionality
  • Ensure system integrity
Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar payroll systems role, along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of payroll functions, procedures, and processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industrial awards, Acts, Regulations, and enterprise bargain agreements
  • High level of personal work output, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle complex payroll and award interpretation issues
  • Ability to maintain a customer service focus under pressure
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and monitor outcomes
  • Experience with SAP and/or SuccessFactors would be advantageous though not essential
