Job Duties
Reporting into the Head of Payroll, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a payroll team
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant awards and legislation are interpreted
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Team Lead position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading and managing teams
- Established experience working within a medium or large sized organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Whilst not necessary, experience using Chris 21 / iChris would be very helpful
- Excellent salary - Circa $140,000 salary package
