About the Client

Our client is a retail icon in Australia who are leaders in their market. They are in the midst of an exciting growth period and have established themselves as an employer of choice thanks to their industry-renowned expertise. Our client is looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join their team permanently, offering flexible working from home arrangements.

The Role

Reporting through to the Payroll Manager, your tasks will include:
  • Managing a team of 4 Payroll Officers 
  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing of approximately 4,000 employees
  • Processing and calculating superannuation, payroll tax/PAYG
  • Ensuring employees are paid in accordance with the relevant Awards, individual employment contracts and legislative requirements
  • Month/year end closing
  • Identifying process improvements
  • Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile

You will have prior experience in a similar Payroll Team Lead position, along with the following attributes:
  • High volume payroll experience within a medium / large scale business
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of multiple awards/EBAs
  • High level analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of large ERP systems such as PayGlobal, SAP or Chris 21
