Exciting opportunity for a Payroll Team Lead to join a dynamic and collaborative team based in North Sydney, conveniently located near public transport, with the flexibility of 2 days working from home. Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will oversee accurate and timely payroll processing while leading a team of up to seven direct reports. In this role, you will manage complex payroll queries, support your team’s day-to-day operations, and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of payroll services across the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- End-to-End Payroll: Lead and managing the team's payroll, including handling new starters, superannuation, salary adjustments, allowances and deductions, and terminations. Ensure the integrity of payroll data by verifying that all changes are properly documented and comply with relevant policies, EBAs, legislation, payroll checklists, processes, and procedures.
- Reviewing all leave reconciliations i.e., Annual Leave, Long Service Leave and Sick Leave and any
- other leave as required.
- Payroll Compliance: Follow documented payroll checking procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in all payroll tasks.
- Termination Payments: Lead & assist with the calculation and processing of termination payments.
- PAYG, Super, and Third-Party Payments: Lead & support the administration and processing of PAYG, superannuation, and other third-party payments.
- Masterfile Maintenance: Lead & maintain and update the payroll masterfile to ensure accurate records.
- Audit and Discrepancy Follow-Up: Review audit reports for each payroll cycle and assist with resolving any discrepancies.
- Report Preparation: Assist with preparing regular payroll reports as required. Provide cashflow forecast/reporting to Treasury as and when required. Completion of the end of month reporting, checks and balances.
- Annual Reconciliation: Support the reconciliation of annual payroll data and reports.
- System Implementation: Assist with a new system change.
- Capable of processing high volume, complex multi-site payrolls
- Experience in the Senior Space for at least 4+ years.
- Approachable attitude and friendly to other team members
