We are partnering with an industry-leading national business in Sydney to recruit a Payroll Transformation Lead role. The organisation is currently delivering a major finance and systems transformation, focused on standardising systems, processes and governance across the business. As part of this journey, this role will focus on strengthening payroll governance, improving processes and supporting the implementation of a centralised payroll system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the national payroll transformation strategy, including system implementations, process standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead the payroll governance and best practice across the organisation
- Supporting payroll remediation and compliance initiatives
- Supporting the selection and rollout of a payroll and time & attendance system
- Acting as a senior advisor on awards, payroll legislation and best practice
- Partner with Finance, HR, and Operations to provide strategic guidance and thought leadership
- Drive change management initiatives and lead key payroll-related projects
- Strong experience managing or leading payroll functions in medium-to-large organisations
- Deep understanding of payroll compliance, awards and EBAs
- Experience with payroll reviews, remediation or system changes
- Exposure to payroll transformation or payroll system implementations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across HR and Finance
- A proactive approach to improving processes and controls
