An established and forward-thinking organisation is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join its growing Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will play a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making by designing, developing, and maintaining impactful BI solutions—particularly for the HR, Finance, and Safety functions.
You’ll report to the BI, Analytics and Insights Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality data and reporting assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Visuals and Reports: Create interactive dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, focused on analyzing performance metrics such as sales, margins, and profitability.
- Maintain Reporting Portfolio: Oversee the stability and accuracy of published reports, manage user access, monitor data refresh schedules, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Data Model Development: Build and optimise data models using sources like MSSQL and DataBricks, while maintaining proper documentation such as data dictionaries.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with teams across Sales, Finance, Operations, IT, and Safety to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Data Governance: Uphold standards in data quality, security, and governance within BI reporting processes.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development.
- Knowledge of HR, Finance, and Safety data environments.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL workflows.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and data platforms.
- Strong command of DAX, Power Query, MSSQL, and Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capable of thriving independently and within a collaborative team environment.
