About the Position
The Principal Advisor Strategy and Planning is a key senior role in Council’s Facilities team, providing high level advice on facilities management strategy, planning and performance. The role leads and manages the activities relating to Facilities Services strategic, operational, asset management and financial planning frameworks.

The role will take ownership of Strategic Asset Management Planning for what is a large and diverse asset portfolio. The role will focus on building a long-term detailed asset structure to enable more effective, proactive decision-making for the facilities portfolio. It will lead and manage the Buildings Condition Assessment Program to ensure the Asset and Service Management Plan (ASMP) and the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) provide comprehensive data on the state of all Council's building's structures and associated plant, equipment and systems.  

About the Person
You are a highly experienced facilities asset management professional, with a track record of building and delivering strategic asset management planning, building condition assessment programs and have a demonstrated understanding of facilities maintenance in a multi-site environment.

Given the broad and complex operating environment and asset base at Council, you will be adept at building strong rapport with stakeholders across an organisation, providing effective advice to customers as a subject matter expert. You will be excited by an opportunity to drive improvements and play a key role in delivering best-practice, effective and proactive strategies.
