About the Role
As a Process Engineer, you’ll take ownership of improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product development, and driving efficiency on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge equipment while supporting sustainable, performance-focused innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and optimise continuous manufacturing processes
- Implement process improvements to enhance output, quality, and cost-efficiency
- Support scale-up and trials for new product development in collaboration with R&D and quality teams
- Develop and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, PFDs, process reports)
- Lead or support equipment commissioning and upgrades
- Partner with operations to ensure processes meet safety and regulatory standards
- Contribute to sustainability targets through waste reduction and energy efficiency projects
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or continuous processing environment (e.g. FMCG, textiles, paper, packaging)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on mindset
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies (advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
