They’re looking for a practical and people-focused Production Manager to take the reins of daily operations - someone who thrives on solving problems, motivating teams, and leading with both heart and accountability.
In this role, you’ll oversee production from end to end: from planning and maintenance coordination through to quality compliance, inventory, and team development. Location: Southern suburbs of Perth
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily, weekly and monthly production planning and scheduling
- Ensure on-time delivery through smart prioritisation and resource allocation
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
- Monitor and improve cost efficiency (materials, labour, freight)
- Partner with maintenance to reduce downtime and plan preventive works
- Oversee inventory levels and stock control in collaboration with Purchasing
- Drive a strong safety culture through reporting, auditing and preventative actions
- Build, coach and manage a frontline team of supervisors and operators
- Lead toolbox talks, pre-shift meetings and other team engagement forums
- Leading teams in a manufacturing, production or fabrication environment
- Analytical mindset, strong planning and organisational skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Passion for people leadership; creating clarity, trust, and shared purpose
- Applying safety-first practices and responding effectively to incidents or risks
- Confident communication and leadership at all levels of the business
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight delivery timeframes - the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Degree qualified in Engineering or similar
