Located near Melbourne's South East suburbs, this food manufacturing company is in need of a dedicated and passionate Production Manager to join the team. This person will play a pivotal role in managing their end to end operations, offering an opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives and drive key leadership development within the business.

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing all production activities across multiple shifts and production lines. The goal is ensuring the safe and quality delivery of all production requirements for the manufacturing areas, as well as identifying and delivering improvement initiatives which unlock business advantages.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure the production schedule (inclusive of set up, changeover and startup times) is delivered in full.
- Follow and implement LEAN and 5S methodologies within the area, including coaching your team on expectations.
- Ensure full compliance across cost management, inventory control and waste management for the manufacturing areas.
- Provide leadership, direction, support, coaching and development to all team members to optimise performance and grow individual and team capabilities.
- Setting the standard for the right safety and compliance behaviours, and creating a safe and positive working environment and culture.
- Ensure all GMP, Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures
are followed by the team members within the manufacturing areas.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements, including proven experience in maintaining and improving production deliverables.
- Proven track record in people management and strong leadership capabilities.
- Background in and extensive understanding of Lean / 5S.
- Understanding of Safety and Quality in a food manufacturing environment.
