About the Position
The Program Director – Birkdale Community Precinct will be responsible for leading, driving and delivering outcomes associated with the Birkdale Community Precinct Visioning and Master-plan development process. Specifically, the role will focus on the successful strategic planning and development of a world class precinct of local, regional and national significance, taking into account relevant land use, community, environmental and economic parameters and drivers, incorporating robust stakeholder and community engagement. The position will need to have a holistic view of the program of works under its responsibility and ensure projects within the program are professionally managed and coordinated in line with defined priorities of the organisation. This position will be offered as a 12-month contract, with potential to be extended.

About the Person
Given the broad remit of the position we are seeking an experienced program leader with a high level of commercial acumen who can demonstrate successfully delivering similar large scale, high profile development projects through their lifecycle. You will bring highly-developed stakeholder engagement skills and have an in depth understanding of how a project of this nature will be delivered within a local government context. Your strengths will include leading, negotiating and influencing people in order to achieve program objectives. Your expert project management skills will also be critical to success, and as such you can demonstrate experience managing complex programs to achieve significant, cost-effective and timely results within a closely monitored budget process. You will bring relevant qualifications in Urban Planning, Business Property Management, or a relevant field, and/or relevant and significant professional experience at a senior level in a public sector or public project environment.
