About the Position
As a key part of the Transport for Brisbane team, the primary purpose of the role is to provide expertise in effective project management practices, managing internal and external resources to ensure the successful development and delivery of transport-related capital projects for Council. You will coordinate and oversee external suppliers and contractors, ensuring they deliver to the requirements of Council safely, on time and to budget.

Transport for Brisbane continues to evolve, embracing new technology and transportation solutions for the people of Brisbane.  To be successful in this role you will be committed to continual improvement and contribute significantly to the evolution of Brisbane’s future transportation need.

About the Person
We are seeking an emotionally intelligent, agile and experienced built infrastructure project management professional who can demonstrate a high level project and portfolio management capability.  You will have a demonstrated ability to develop, resource and manage high performance project teams, taking programs/projects from inception to hand-over of transport/civil infrastructure projects. You will have highly effective communication, consultative, interpersonal, negotiation skills as well as business management, financial and reporting skills. You will also be an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Project Managers as a Registered Project Manager or Project Director. To complement this, you will ideally bring a strong understanding of best practice contract management, and the ability to work and negotiate with a diverse group of stakeholders.
