Sharp & Carter are supporting a QLD State Government Department in sourcing a Project Manager to join their team on an initial 14-month day rate contract based in Brisbane.

In this role, you will lead project teams in the design, implementation and support of major technology and audiovisual projects across courts in Queensland. You will bring strong project delivery capability, stakeholder engagement skills and vendor management experience to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage approved technology and AV projects with accountability for project structure, progress and decision-making, including problem resolution, escalation and resource allocation.
  • Oversee, coordinate and monitor key aspects of project plans, including interdependencies with related projects, to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered.
  • Build and manage effective stakeholder relationships to ensure client and stakeholder expectations are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop plans, strategies and advice to manage potential project issues in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are managed in line with appropriate project management methodologies to deliver consistent and high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide relevant project information to support strategic planning processes.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, at times across multiple financial years.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and measure benefits against deliverables.

Experience:
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position, however PRINCE2 Foundation and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, along with MSP qualifications, would be highly regarded. Intrastate travel is a requirement of the role, with monthly travel within Queensland likely. Previous experience managing AV, video conferencing, or broader technology-enabled infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
