About the Position
This is a rare opportunity to oversee the delivery of the landmark Redlands Coast Adventure Sports Precinct (RCASP). A major city-shaping project, the RCASP will provide new aquatic and recreation facilities for the community as well as an Olympic-standard Canoe Slalom course, earmarked for use in the upcoming Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032.

The project will contribute to broader transformational change within Redlands Coast, catalysing major infrastructure upgrades, investment and targeted economic growth, with pre and post Games legacy at its heart. It forms part of the Birkdale Community Precinct, which is a once-in-a-generation development for the Redlands.

The role will be responsible for delivering concepts, design, master planning and development of land for the RCASP and its integrated role within a broader Birkdale Community Precinct.

The position will require a holistic view of the program of works under its responsibility and ensure projects within the program are professionally project-managed and coordinated in line with defined priorities of the organisation. It will work with a diverse and complex stakeholder group that includes the likes of both State and Federal government, peak sporting bodies and local community organisations.

About the Person
Given the broad remit of the position you will be an experienced project leader who can demonstrate successfully delivering similar large scale, high profile major infrastructure projects through their lifecycle. You will bring highly-developed stakeholder engagement skills and have an in depth understanding of how a project of this nature will be delivered within a local government context.

Your strengths will include leading, negotiating and influencing people in order to achieve project objectives. Your expert project management skills will also be critical to success and you will hold formal qualifications in this area.
