Due to growth within the business, they are looking for an experienced Food technologist to join their team based in regional Victoria.
The role
As a Food Technologist you will focus on enhancing product shelf life and optimizing ingredient use for taste while minimizing costs. The position involves direct, hands-on engagement on the production floor, where the technologist will contribute to various tasks and processes. Responsibilities will include planning and developing recipes, adapting to seasonal changes, and creating new products in response to market trends.
The role will include driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing innovative ideas. Collaboration is crucial, as the technologist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, production, and quality, while reporting to senior stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a food-related field.
- Demonstrated experience in ready meals and familiarity with Coles and Woolworths retailers are highly desirable.
- A proactive approach to research and innovation, with a drive for creativity.
- Practical experience in food production and a willingness to work directly with the production team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and program management systems.
