 About the Role
As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all safety protocols and procedures on-site. Your primary goal will be to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations. This includes conducting thorough risk assessments and regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate these risks.

In addition, you will collaborate closely with management to develop and set safety goals and objectives that align with the company's overall mission and regulatory requirements. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of safety initiatives and programs will be a critical part of your role, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Staying up to date with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to workplace safety is essential, allowing you to adapt and refine safety protocols as needed. Promoting a culture of safety within the organisation, you will encourage proactive behavior and continuous observation among all employees, fostering an environment where safety is a top priority.

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a safety management role ideally within the food or manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety programs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
