About the role
An opportunity has arisen for a strong Financial Accountant to join a respected and well- established ASX listed property development organisation who continuously see great growth. Taking a hands-on approach, this role will be responsible for the month end process, working on multiple projects and engage with many stakeholders at a senior level across the business. This role reports to the senior Manager and works closely with 1 Senior Financial Accountant and 1 other Finance Manager. With career progression across the team and several business units they are a fantastic organisation to begin your commercial career in.
The Responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Month end management reporting
- Month end reconciliations
- Preparation of audit committee and board reporting
- Performance and variance analysis
- Communicating necessary financial information to support business decisions
- Business partnering across wider business
- Liaise with internal property managers and property accountants to ensure overall quality of property information
- Accounting advisory
- Lead and/or assist with team projects as required
- Ad-hoc requests
- CA/CPA qualified (or nearly qualified)
- Experience in a financial accounting role (desired)
- Big4 first or second mover
- Willing to be challenged and proactive in their approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and examples of prior stakeholder management experience
