About the role
This is a newly created opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy, established team in Macquarie Park who are a reputable food manufacturer. This is an opportunity for someone experienced in the Accounts Payable function to assist with the leading and guidance of the team. The role will initially be on a 3 month contract however there is a good chance for extension.
The Responsibilities
- Build and process improve the AP function
- Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts, and payment of weekly bills
- Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliations
- Contribute accounts payable information to other departments upon request
- Help implement the newly appointed SAP system
- Manage, direct and lead the Accounts Payable team/ be a source of support to manager
The successful applicant will have
- Experience in a similar senior accounts payable position
- Previous experience with SAP a must
- Experience working in retail an advantage
- Experience working on process improvement projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel
