Position description
An open opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join a well established team in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, with the potential for WFH once training is complete. The role requires the successful candidate to utilise extensive Accounts Payable experience from previous experiences to value add within a new environment, ensuring timely payment of invoices for the business by forming strong working relationships and having a system savvy mindset. This role is initially a temporary assignment with a strong consideration for the successful candidate to go permanent. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare approved invoices for payment; process all company payments in a timely manner
  • Interface with appropriate departments to secure proper payment approvals
  • Process payments twice a week (EFT)
  • Administer the Concur expense management system, including user account management, configuration, and maintenance
  • Maintain accounts payable files and records as per audit requirements.
  • Respond to all vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; resolves invoice discrepancies
  • Process and oversee expense reimbursement and reporting
  • Analyse and track accounts payable balances; prepare analysis of accounts as required
  • Provide cashflow forecast inputs
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts payable accounts, pre-payments and expense accruals
  • Assist with monthly closings and bank statement reconciliation
  • Assist with related special projects as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:
  • Impeccable customer service and phone manner
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
  • An ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be highly organized, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Relevant solar industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Previous MS Dynamics experience will be highly regarded
  • Intermediate level excel and word skills
