An exciting role with a multinational FMCG / Retail organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their team. This Senior Commercial Analyst position will help drive commercial excellence across the group through the analysis of key data to help improve business performance. Initially this will be a long-term contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for extension and/or permanency.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial expertise to the business with a focus on strategic planning, analysis and business partnering. More specifically, your role will include:
- Compilation of Group Financial Planning and Analysis for Budget and Forecasts across all brands.
- Effective tracking of brand performance, including analysis of outcomes vs. budget and forecasting.
- Adhoc commercial analysis, financial modelling as required.
- Month-end analysis, budgeting and forecasting of Adfund for Brands. Timely and accurate reporting of Adfund as part of monthly packs.
- Preparation of the Annual Adfund Accounts for all Brands.
- Business partnering with the Heads of Marketing for analysis and forecasting.
- Franchisee profitability forecast modelling for all Brands; including analysis of COGS, labour and direct expenses.
- Tracking actual Franchisee profitability on a monthly basis.
- Quarterly Franchisee profitability reporting and analysis for Board.
- Support to Senior Commercial manager monthly brand reporting.
- Support in company-owned store reporting.
- Effective and efficient reporting/assistance in financial analysis for brand specific projects.
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and a commercially astute individual. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a proven track record of business partnering and have the ability to effectively communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders. Experience with Tableau is highly valuable.
