Our client, a well-known and successful global brand is seeking an ambitious individual to take on the challenge of Financial Accounting Manager , the role requires an immediate start with a genuine permanent opportunity on offer longer term
The Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Finance the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Lead the financial accounting team to ensure service is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Monthly Financial Performance reporting
- Accountable for Financial Statements and associated reporting
- Internal and External Audit Support
- Capital Expenditure forecasting, investment review, analysis and approval of requests
- Tax and other Statutory reporting
- Manage accounting transactions delivering fit for purpose financial accounts
- Procure To Pay Cycle continuous improvement
- Support function for financial decision making to CFO and Finance & Admin Manager
- Internal Financial reporting and assistance with preparation of board and quarterly reports
- Monitoring of accounts and ensuring all costs are accounted for with valid substantiation
- Manage the Fixed Assets Register
- Validating/ processing and billing monthly salary charges in accordance with internal costing requirements, Annual Works Plan (AWP Budget) and any other contractual requirements
- Produce monthly account reconciliation reports including labour liabilities and any other on-cost categories
- Providing financial analysis as and when required
- Authorize office expenses and manage monthly costs
The Candidate
CA/CPA qualified you will be an experienced and technically strong Financial Controller that ideally has FMCG sector experience, however this is not essential. You possess strong leadership and management experience and the ability to thrive in an environment requiring significant process improvement. Working with a strong set of values you will have a positive attitude that views problems as learning opportunities rather than obstacles that cannot be overcome.
