About the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The role is responsible for the end-to-end month-end process, statutory compliance, and meaningful financial analysis. It also offers the opportunity to partner across the business, contribute to decision-making, and work on a variety of projects that support ongoing transformation and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end close including journals, accruals, and management reporting.
- Perform variance analysis and deliver insightful commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Prepare BAS, FBT, and statutory financial statements (half-year and full-year).
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing key inputs for strategic planning.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, CAPEX tracking, and daily reporting.
- Partner with the wider finance team on ad hoc initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Business; CA or CPA qualified (or working towards).
- Ideally a first or 2nd mover from Big 4 or mid-tier chartered firm.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience with strong financial reporting and technical accounting skills.
- Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage across departments.
