The Organisation

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will responsible for assisting in the administration of the general finance operation, financial reporting for the organisation and its related entities. Key duties will include:
  • Provide support to General Manager and Line Managers on all finance related matters within Shared Services
  • Responsible and coordinate the full year budget and quarterly forecast across Shared Services
  • Responsible in managing the month-end closure process
  • Provide monthly analytics of financial results to GM’s and Department Heads across Shared Services
  • Maintain funding and working schedule for annual audit and budget
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting deadline and other ad hoc reporting requirement as required
  • Responsible for maintaining data for capital and project reports
  • Maintain grant acquittal schedule and ensure timely lodgement of acquittal for all programs
  • Ensure GST/FBT meets compliance requirements and the timely lodgement of returns and payment of tax obligation
  • Attend to enquiries from across the organisation in relation to the financial performance of programs
  • Undertake accounting and reconciliation of clearing accounts
  • Undertake quality control of financial data
  • Provide Leadership, Coach, manage, and develop employees within the corporate finance team, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
  • Participate in planning, evaluating and continuous improvement of financial policies and procedures
  • Ensure services delivered comply with all applicable legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and the relevant service standards
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Finance Manager or delegate

The Candidate
You are CA/CPA qualified and while ideal but not essential, you started your career at Big 4 or large mid-tier Accounting Firm before further developing your skills by joining a medium-large commercial organisation. You possess a strong technical accounting knowledge and first class interpersonal skills allowing you to develop strong professional relationships across an organisation. Additionally you have excellent written communication skills and are looking to step into a demanding position.
