The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will responsible for assisting in the administration of the general finance operation, financial reporting for the organisation and its related entities. Key duties will include:
- Partner with the General Manager and senior leaders across Shared Services, providing strategic financial advice, insights, and support to inform decision‑making.
- Assist the end‑to‑end budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality financial reporting.
- Deliver clear and insightful monthly financial analysis and performance reporting to GMs and Department Heads.
- Oversee funding schedules, grant acquittals, and capital and project reporting, ensuring key deadlines and requirements are met.
- Ensure strong financial governance, including compliance with GST/FBT obligations and contribution to audit processes.
- Help to develop the Corporate Finance team, providing leadership, coaching, onboarding support, and career development opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, policies, and processes to support business growth and operational effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted finance contact across the organisation, responding to queries and supporting financial performance across programs.
The Candidate
You are ideally CA or CPA qualified (though this is not essential) and bring strong technical accounting expertise gained within a medium to large organisation. You combine this with first‑class interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusted and effective relationships across the business. You also possess excellent written communication skills and are motivated to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
