Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to oversee the overall management reporting function and drive system enhancements within the organisation. This pivotal role will be responsible for coordinating business planning, facilitating forecasting processes, delivering high-quality management reports, and implementing system improvements to optimise efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the coordination of the 5-year planning process, including budget and forecasting activities.
  • Prepare and communicate the budget timetable, consolidated budget pack, and annual program documentation for Board review.
  • Deliver monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide support to Finance Teams in budget preparation and forecasting, including liaising with Corporate Group on financial modeling requirements.
  • Provide information for ASX guidance reporting.
  • Deliver monthly board performance reports with detailed financial analysis and variances against budget/forecast.
  • Prepare and consolidate management briefing papers and internal reporting for half-year and year-end requirements.
  • Support Leadership Team by providing insights into actual performance and alignment with forecast and continuous improvement goals.
  • Manage data aggregation for insurance renewals and provide backup support across the finance team as needed.
  • Oversee the management of systems, implementing finance systems strategy and managing system changes effectively.
  • Manage and mentor one team member 
Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver annual budgets an forecasts to Senior Management and communicate these effectively 
  • Ability to analyse and communicate effectively trends and financial performance 
  • Commercial and technical knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate accounting concepts to non-finance professionals
