The role
Reporting directly into the Finance operations Manager, you will be business partnering with the operations team, providing them with accurate, meaningful information and reports that will impact directly on key decision making. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Manage, control, and coordinate financial activities for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives and increased profit, including state capital expenditure to support marketing initiatives, deliver cost reductions and provide competitive advantage to the business.
• Participate in the preparation of state capital and expense budgets.
• Support the Commercial and Operations Financial Manager in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare regular and special management reports as required, including sales production statistics, profit and loss, budget variance, analysis, cash budgets, balance sheets and capital additions.
• Modify report formats and schedules of accounts according to changing policies, statutory requirements, or accounting standards.
• Supervise the work of support staff and ensure all journals/data entries are made correctly and on time for monthly reporting.
•  Prepare insurance returns and ensure cover is effectively in line with company guidelines and division/branch requirements.
• Ensure all management reports are completed accurately, within set time frames.
• Develop, implement, and monitor for continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular department manager evaluations; identify and address financial performance issues and formulate financial training needs.
•  Actively participate in the strategy planning sessions

The ideal Candidate

• CA, CPA (or equivalent) qualified 
• Previous experience working with an ASX listed or large - medium size business
• Open to 1st movers from chartered firms 
• Strong communication skill and ability to work with Senior individuals
