An international and reputable organisation in inner Brisbane CBD suburbs is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to commence in a full-time role.
This role provides you the opportunity to work in a collaborative team to perform a payroll service for a large workforce. Working in a high-performing team within payroll, you will be supported and guided to ensure you are a successful member of the organisation. This organisation have close access to public transport options.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the HR and providing support to the HR team, you will take complete ownership over the complex payroll process.
- End to end payroll processing;
- Responsible for PAYG, payroll tax, work cover and superannuation payments;
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals for posting into the General Ledger and assist with the audit process;
- Processing new starters, terminations, payroll adjustments and providing general HR support.
Skills and Experience
As the suitable candidate you will have demonstrated prior experience in payroll with a motivation to work for a leading organisation. In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to:
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Knowledge of superannuation, payroll tax and statutory requirements
- Experience using Tier one payroll system;
- Ability to work well in a broader team across HR and Finance, and contribute to team success.
