About the role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a medium sized team, your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Weekly payroll processing for 1,000 + employees
- Assisting in effectively leading a close knit payroll team
- Processing new starters and terminations
- Complete superanunation and tax / PAYG payments
- Interpreting all relevant awards, EBAs and entitlements
- Reporting duties and assist the Payroll Manager with projects (as required)
- Maintain payroll operations which include following policies and procedures and proactively identifying areas for process improvement

- Prior experience within a similar Payroll Officer position

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a team based environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise urgent work
