A construction group based in Underwood is seeking to recruit a Payroll Officer to support its growing Queensland operations. With ongoing project activity and recent business growth, this role will assist in delivering timely and accurate payroll.
Working as part of a wider national payroll function, you’ll be focused on day-to-day processing and administration, supporting both employees and site managers with pay-related matters. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing payroll experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end to end weekly payroll for multiple business entities
- Enter and verify timesheet data and pay adjustments
- Action new starter set-ups and update employee records as required
- Assist with employee exits, including preparation of final payments
- Process standard payroll items such as allowances, overtime and deductions
- Assist with payroll checking and reconciliations
- Prepare routine payroll and compliance reports
- Respond to payroll-related questions from staff in a helpful and professional manner
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an end to end payroll position
- Comfortable working with a range of systems and learning new processes
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A reliable team player who can manage routine deadlines
