You will play a key role in supporting end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring compliance, and providing expert guidance to both employees and payroll team members. This role is based in the Brisbane CBD and is within the resources and mining sector.
About the Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end payroll processing including data entry, validation, and reconciliation
- Ensuring accuracy of time and attendance, allowances, deductions, and leave
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and complex queries
- Ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
- Assisting with statutory reporting including STP and payroll tax
- Assisting with payroll system maintenance and optimisation
- Providing guidance and training to payroll team members
- Demonstrated experience in payroll within a medium to large organisation
- Experience with SAP ECP and/or UKG highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
