Our client is an independent public sector provider of commercially-oriented supply chain, procurement and corporate services that works to support public hospitals and health services in delivering safe, affordable and sustainable healthcare. They are looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to lead the delivery of payroll services to our growing number of employees across Victoria by ensuring efficient, timely and accurate payments to all employees, in accordance with statutory and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and transact the payroll processes across our employee lifecycle
- Lead and manage payroll officer who will be a direct report
- End-to-end payroll processing of 200+ employees fortnightly (and ad hoc) using HR3 including PAYG, WorkCover and Superannuation payments, processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments, annual, long service and personal leave
- Single Touch Payroll & reconciliations
- ATO reporting and payments
- Month-end processing and provide reports for payroll accruals, tax and superannuation reconciliations
- Drive excellence and continuous improvement in HR/Payroll systems and processes
- Be the Kronos & HR3 payroll champion, demonstrating in-depth understanding of the system’s functions
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in full function payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- High attention to detail including prioritising and organising workload
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Confident when dealing with stakeholders both internal and external
- Able to take initiative and accountability for assigned task
