- Lead the cleanup of legacy financial records, with a focus on lease accounting and reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve issues with payroll and finance system integration.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis, providing actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and HR teams to ensure data integrity and system consistency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in project accounting processes and internal controls.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring documentation and compliance standards are met.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) to analyze and visualize financial data.
- CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise.
- Prior experience in lease accounting, reconciliations, and cleanup projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and AASB
- Experience working in large, complex organisations.
- Comfortable digging into systems and data.
- Strong systems acumen – ideally experienced with ERP, payroll, and financial data integrations
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Able to hit the ground running in a project-oriented environment.
