About the Role
As a Senior Security & Solution Architect, you will play a key role in ensuring that security solutions are effective, industry-compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture strategies. You will work closely with stakeholders to design and implement robust cyber security solutions while managing risks across various architectural domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in information security, application, and technology architecture.
- Develop, review, and assure project and technical documentation, including control options papers, conceptual/logical designs, and configurations.
- Design and implement security strategies, roadmaps, and procedures.
- Conduct options analysis and provide input into business cases.
- Ensure compliance with Queensland Government and enterprise architecture standards.
- Provide strategic advice on emerging security trends and technologies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including security teams, DevOps, project managers, business SMEs, and technical specialists.
- Support project management activities, including risk assessment and progress reporting.
- 7+ years of experience in cyber security, with lead/principal roles in security operations and projects.
- 5+ years of experience implementing and operating technology/security roadmaps in large-scale environments.
- Expertise in security operations, SIEM, analytics, and cyber security strategies.
- Experience with hybrid multi-cloud environments in government, transport, mining, or similar industries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Extensive knowledge of security architecture frameworks such as ISO 27001, IS18, NIST CSF, TOGAF, MITRE ATT&CK, and SABSA.
