The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Accounts Officer (Trust Accounting focus) to join the Perth CBD office. This is a busy, fast-paced role that will suit someone who thrives in a high-volume processing environment, enjoys ownership of their work, and has strong technical trust accounting experience within a law firm environment.
The Responsibilities:
The duties of the role will consist of the following; however, will not be limited to:
• Leading and directing workflow within the team and resolving operational issues
• Processing trust account transactions including receipts, payments and settlements
• Trust account reconciliations
• Overseeing trust audit processes
• Processing and reconciliation of controlled money within the practice management system
• Managing trust account records in line with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Periodic trust reporting, filing and lodgements
• Training staff on trust processes and accounting systems
• Liaising with internal stakeholders across the wider business
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will obtain the following attributes; which will not be limited to:
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Accounts Officer / Trust Accounting role
• Essential experience within a law firm environment with hands-on trust account exposure
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, high-accuracy processing
• Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation skills
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
• Confident communicator with the ability to train and support stakeholders
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with legal practice management systems (Aderant highly regarded)

• Fully onsite role (no hybrid or work-from-home flexibility)
• Permanent opportunity
• Salary range: $90,000–$110,000 + super (depending on experience)
